At this time, there is an intermittent, known issue with the sjuwireless network in some campus locations. This issue can cause a total loss of wireless connectivity when occurring. If you experience a loss in wireless connectivity in the following locations, please contact the TSC at x2920:

When getting a new Apple device, there is an important safety feature that users should activate: iCloud. If you use the iCloud and the supported applications (Find My iPhone) on your device, you can easily find them if they are stolen or lost. This link provides instructions on setting up this tool on your iPhone, iPad and Mac computer. Users simply install the apps and sign into www.icloud.com in order to see the location of all of their devices on a map.

Additionally, the TSC would like to stress the importance of LOCKING your devices in order to protect sensitive data. To set a passcode lock on your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings – General – Passcode Lock and click “Turn Passcode On”. If someone attempts to unlock your device with the incorrect Passcode, the device will disable temporarily. You also have the option of automatically erasing all content after ten incorrect attempts. Please be aware that once your phone is erased it will need to be restored from a backup.
It is important to not put sensitive information on anything portable unless that item is properly secured. If you have any questions about the security features available on your iPhone or iPad, how to back up the devices, or running updates please contact the TSC!

The campus voicemail system will be unavailable on Wednesday, April 10th, from 10pm-11pm for maintenance. During this time, menus, automated call routing, and voice mailboxes will be unavailable. Customers will not be able to leave or retrieve messages during this time.
For community safety, calls to the main university number (610-660-1000), as well as Public Safety and Security (610-660-1111) will continue to be directed as normal.

March 24th 5am-9am – Our Central Authentication System (CAS) will be upgraded. CAS allows students to seamlessly access Gmail, Google Apps and Blackboard once logging into MySJU. These tools can still be accessed through the following links:

In August, we transitioned student email to Gmail and the response has been great. We are excited to announce that during Spring Break, we will be releasing Google Apps for Education to our students.
When you return to SJU on March 11th, you can now look forward to Google Drive, Google Sites, and Google Talk.

Network Services will be unavailable on the ground and 1st floors of Barbelin on Friday, February 15th, from 7am-8am while we upgrade equipment. Services effected include: Email, Internet, Blackboard, Banner, file and print sharing, etc.

On Sunday, we upgraded Banner INB. This upgrade will require an update to Java on your computer. See below for instructions for upgrading Java on your PC or Mac.
To access the upgraded version of Banner INB, please go to MySJU – School Services – Banner System – Banner Production (New)
If you have any questions regarding the upgrade of Banner or Java, please contact the TSC.
– Install Java 6 update 37 on your PC
To access the L drive: Go to Start – Run – type in \\sju_fs2\banner and hit Enter
Copy L:\INB\ Java6_37update.exe to your Desktop
Double click Java6_37update.exe
Allow the script to finish running.
